Clinics
At
Mantis Hockey, we firmly believe that to reach your maximum potential
as a player, you need to be coached in the latest skills and techniques
that are evolving in the game of field hockey. We don't learn our hockey
from a manual, and regurgitate it to you. With all of the competition
out there for hockey
clinics, it is important for you to differentiate between the coaching
and playing level of the instructors we have on staff vs. those of other
companies. For every international appearance our competition has, we
have 10. For every hour of junior coaching they have, we have 10. We have
the best players in Canada coaching your kids what they need to excel
at our sport. Period. With a host of Olympians and 200+ internationally-capped
players on our coaching roster, you can be assured that we have learnt
our skills by playing against the best players in the world. This season's
coaches have played in Holland over the past year and promise to bring
the newest and most advanced coaching excercises and skills to Mantis
Participants!
You'll leave camp with new techniques, new energy, new friends and new
goals. We guarantee that every part of the process will be fun. Practicing
and learning the important principles of team play will maximize your
chances of "making the team" for any level of play.
Remember: Teams are built in the fall, but individuals are developed in
the summer!

A
Mantis Clinic Participants' Quote:
"I
learned so much and felt that I gained so much knowledge about the game.
I have gone to two other field hockey clinics, but none could even match
this one. It was an experience of a lifetime and I am glad that I got
to take part in it. I not only learned new skills, new moves, but I made
some new friends."
A
Mantis Participants Mother's Quote:
"My
two daughters normally don't ask to be placed in camps in the summer but
after last years camp they were begging me to sign me up for a Mantis
Hockey Camp"
